Maponya Mall Celebrates Heritage Month with a call to support Soweto's Children

This Heritage season, Maponya Mall proudly continues its legacy as The Soul of Soweto by launching a heartfelt community initiative in support of Othandweni Children’s Home. The campaign embodies the theme Abantwana Bethu, Our Kids, Our Pride, Our Heritage, shining a spotlight on the importance of nurturing the next generation.

From 1st September 2025, shoppers and community members are invited to Drop & Donate essential items into the donation box located in the mall. Contributions can also be delivered to Centre Management prior to this date. Requested items include:
- Toddler clothing
- Baby clothing
- Books and stationery

Othandweni Children’s Home provides vulnerable children with a loving, holistic environment where they can grow, thrive, and dream big. By partnering with the Soweto community, we hope to fill little hearts with hope and ensure our children have the support they need to shine.

This initiative underscores Maponya Mall’s ongoing commitment to celebrating heritage through meaningful community action and building pride, fostering unity, and living the upside together.
